I'm looking for the Instructions to Connect a Replacement HP Wireless Keyboard & Wireless Mouse to My HP PAVILION All-in-One Desktop the same way the Original Wireless Keyboard & Wireless mouse is connected now. It is connected in a way that that does not require a Dongle that would tie a USB port. I prefer to keep that way. The reason I required a replacement Keyboard in the first place, is because the lettering on some of the keys have worn off and not readable in just a few months' time.  I was sent from HP a replacement keyboard and mouse with fresh batteries and a Dongle. No instructions were included in the package, but I was able to figure out how to get work using the Dongle. As I mentioned above, that is not the way I want it to run. I have seen some information mentioning that a Dongle could be hidden inside the monitor and that a wireless keyboard can be paired with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and no Dongle is needed but no information how to do that.

Welcome to the HP Community --

Yes, I believe the "original" USB dongle is inside.

The rather cryptic Upgrading and Servicing Guide - starting on page 9 - includes information on disassembly.

There is no mention of the USB portal inside the case -- this is apparently not in the list of normal "upgrades".  ??

Regardless, if the USB dongle is inside the case, you will likely see it.

Years ago I had an image of the inside -- seems like the dongle / USB was fairly obvious.

There's probably a YouTube video --

The only problem - if there is one - might be whether HP objects to you opening the case while the device is in Warranty.

Were it mine to do, I'd open it and check -- That said, I am less concerned about Warranties than having what I want.
