My HP ENVY 23-d027c TouchSmart All-in-One Desktop PC has lost touch with the installed wireless adapter. It is not showing up in device manager although it does in programs and features. I am unable to turn it on again as it has somehow disconnected. It is a Ralink RT3290 802.11 bgn wi-fi adapter. The only way I am now able to connect with the internet is through ethernet. This will not work for me long term. I have tried all the diagnostics and it is still not detectable even though I successfully used it for many years before it suddenly disconnected and does not show up at all in network settings. I have no airplane mode type button at least that I can find or button that turns on an off the wireless adapter that I can find. I need help with this as I've spent hours trying to get it back working.

That is a very common problem with the Ralink wifi card and the newer releases of W10.
The wifi and or/bluetooth completely disappear from the device manager.
Unfortunately there is no fix other than to replace the internal wifi card with a different model, and I don't know if there were other wifi cards that were supported in that model.
Or you can go back to Windows 8.1 and the internal wifi/Bluetooth should work fine.
The easiest thing to do would be to purchase a USB wifi adapter.
If the Bluetooth is not working either, you can buy a dual band USB wifi/bluetooth adapter.
