After going into Devices - Network adapters, we are not seeing a card that indicated "wireless" and we are using a hardwired connection currently. Is this card also used for wireless and just needs a driver or do we need to get a new network adapter card?

The Realtek RTL8821CE adapter is for dual band Wi-Fi only.
Since you see it listed there, it should not need any drivers in order to work.
It's ready to go.
In order to connect via Wi-Fi, you have to disconnect from the ethernet connection, and you have to be able to see your wireless router's SSID available to connect to with the Wi-Fi card.
