Can you temporarily connect the keyboard to a different device, to see if it works when so connected?

 

If it is a USB-connector keyboard, can you try connecting it to a different USB socket on your computer?

 

Can you try a different keyboard connected to the same USB socket, and then to a different USB socket?

 

Can you try a working USB-connector mouse into the USB socket on your computer, to see if that USB socket accepts the mouse, or whether that USB socket has failed?
