Hello,
The LEDs are lit on the laptop's network port. But no connection on Windows 11. The LAN network device isn't there in the devices manager. The driver has been installed. The ethernet icon doesn't exist in the network connection window.

Hi @Raphael59
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
The issue is more likely related to the LAN controller not being detected by the system rather than a simple driver installation problem. HP documentation and support discussions indicate that if the network controller does not appear in Device Manager after BIOS verification and driver installation, the next step is hardware diagnostics and evaluation of the onboard LAN hardware.
I recommend verifying that the integrated LAN controller is enabled in BIOS, installing the latest chipset and LAN drivers from the HP ProBook 450 G6 support page, and running HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (F2 at startup). If the Ethernet adapter does not appear in Device Manager after these steps, Windows is not detecting the onboard LAN controller, which may indicate a hardware-related issue with the network controller or system board.
Take care and have an amazing day!
I'm an HP Employee.
