Sorry for all those confusions. As mentioned on my very first reply, the Anker adapter is a good device and it will give 2 more USB ports. Many thin laptops now don't have wired LAN port and less USB ports therefore it can fill the gap very well.
I did test it using its USB 3.0 ports (we can plug it to USB 2.0 port but only get USB 2.0 speed) to copy files from 1 external HDD to other external HDD and I get over 90 megabytes per second (for files around 1GB or more).
Regards.

I caused the problem not you, sorry.
I'll let you know if the ethernet adapter solves the problem. I do not know what else to try if this fails. Very unusual problem nothing in the support pages on this problem, opposite yes, but not with wired connection.

I received and email from the forum asking me if this resolved the question.
I cannot answer that until I install the ethernet adapter. Amazon will not deliver it till some time tomorrow. It did answer the question about what type of ethernet card was in my computer.
If you expect me to answer completed when it isn't, I cannot pull ethernet adapters/cards out of thin air. A little to **bleep** pushy for me. I mark it complete and I'll go elsewhere to get my answers.
I'll see ya around when you implement some manners,

Neither of the proposed solution I accepted prematurely. The card would not fit in the computer and the ethernet adapter will be useful for the extra USB ports it provides.
Here is how I solved the problem. If the Lan 802.11n card is not working it will show up in the control panel under devices. LAN 802.11n device was working properly. Ethernet port and card can be test via a loop tester sometime called a sniffer. Speed can be improved via Advanced settings so I planned on changing one at a time and checking the download speed. The Adhoc Supoort was disabled so I enabled it and tested download speed for wire hookup it went from 6mbps to 125mbps. PROBLEM SOLVED.
Still not happy about being forced to select problem solved when neither solution would have solved the problem it is rude and inconsiderate.
