Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like your HP All-in-One - 24 desktop is having network compatibility issues after upgrading to Wi-Fi 6. Since both Ethernet and Wi-Fi are not working, the issue could be related to drivers, settings, or compatibility with your router.
Check Device Manager for Network Adapters
- Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
- Expand Network Adapters and look for:
- Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., Intel, Realtek, or Qualcomm)
- Ethernet adapter (Realtek, Intel, or other)
- If either has a yellow triangle or is missing:
- Right-click and choose Update driver → Search automatically.
- If that fails, Uninstall device, then restart the PC.
Update Network Drivers Manually
- Go to HP Support (HP Drivers) and enter your PC model.
- Download and install the latest Wi-Fi and Ethernet drivers.
- Restart the PC and try connecting again.
Reset Network Settings
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator (search cmd, right-click, Run as Admin).
- Run these commands one by one:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns - Restart your PC and check the connection.
Check Router Settings
- Some Wi-Fi 6 routers disable backward compatibility (Wi-Fi 5/4 devices).
- Log into your router’s settings (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1) and:
- Enable 802.11ax backward compatibility (if available).
- Try setting Wi-Fi to WPA2 instead of WPA3 (some older devices don’t support WPA3).
- Disable "Wi-Fi 6 Only" mode and test.

Force Ethernet Connection
Since Ethernet shows 1000 Mbps but isn’t connecting:
- Go to Control Panel → Network and Sharing Center → Change adapter settings.
- Right-click Ethernet, choose Properties.
- Select Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) → Click Properties.
- Set IP Address and DNS to Automatic.
- Restart the PC and try again.
Check Windows Update & BIOS
- Ensure Windows is fully updated (Settings → Windows Update).
- Update the BIOS from HP's support site.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
