Hi @John19572 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP Pavilion p7-1254 Desktop PC doesn't support Miracast, you can still project your PC to your Sony Bravia using a few alternatives. Here are some suggestions:
1. Use an HDMI Cable
- Best for: Stable and high-quality projection
- Steps:
- Connect an HDMI cable from your PC to your Sony Bravia TV.
- On your TV, switch to the HDMI input that matches the port you plugged the cable into.
- On your PC, press Windows + P to open the projection options.
- Choose either "Duplicate" (mirrors your screen) or "Second screen only" (uses the TV as your display).
2. Use a Wireless Display Adapter (e.g., Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter)
- Best for: Wireless projection without Miracast support on your PC
- Steps:
- Purchase a wireless display adapter like the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter or Google Chromecast.
- Plug the adapter into an HDMI port on your Sony Bravia and power it using USB.
- Change the input on your TV to the corresponding HDMI port.
- Install the necessary software (if applicable) on your PC.
- Press Windows + P and select "Connect to a wireless display" (for Wireless Display Adapter) or cast via Google Chrome (for Chromecast).
3. Use Chromecast for Screen Mirroring
- Best for: Convenient wireless casting with a Chrome browser
- Steps:
- Plug a Chromecast into an HDMI port on your Sony Bravia.
- Set up the Chromecast using the Google Home app on your smartphone or PC.
- Open the Google Chrome browser on your PC.
- Click the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select "Cast".
- Choose your Chromecast from the list and either cast a tab or your entire desktop.

I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
