My
HP All-in-One - 20-c028 had built in WI-Fi when I purchased it. WHen I got a new NET privider they had to have me hardwire/ethernet hookup to run speed tests. AFter they left, I left it hard wired. WHen I went to move the computer and removed the ethernet cable, my computer is suddenly no longer Wi-FI compatible. I only have the option of dial up or ethernet. Would appear my wi-Fi adapter/driver has vanished. I have went to the HP Support and attempted to re download the available drivers on there, it will start the process and then just stop. WHat do I need to do to fix this issue?

Try these steps -
Step 1 Network Troubleshooter -
1) In the search box, type and open "Troubleshooter".
2) Click on "Network and Internet".
3) Click on "Internet Connections".
Step 2 Re-install the Network Adapter -
1) In the search box on the taskbar, type Device Manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.
2) In Device Manager, select Network adapters > the network adapter name.
3) Right-click on the network adapter, and then select Uninstall device > Delete the driver software for this device check box > Uninstall.
4) Restart the computer.
Try updating the driver by connecting the ethernet cable -
Step 3 Windows Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open Windows Updates.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
Step 4 HP Support Assistant Updates -
1) In the search box, type and open HP Support Assistant.
2) Check for updates.
3) If the updates are available, click on install and restart the computer.
