The vice manager does not see my Wi-Fi adapter and so I cannot connect to the Internet at all. I don’t know what’s going on.

@Firstimefemboy, Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Pavilion p2-1123w desktop running Windows 7 cannot detect the Wi-Fi adapter in Device Manager, follow these troubleshooting steps:
Check for Hidden Devices
- Open Device Manager by searching for it in the Start menu.
- Click on the "View" tab and select "Show hidden devices."
- Expand the "Network Adapters" section to see if the Wi-Fi adapter appears as a hidden device.
Add Legacy Hardware
- In Device Manager, click "Action" > "Add Legacy Hardware."
- Select "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list."
- Follow the prompts to install the Wi-Fi adapter if it is missing.
Reset Network Settings
- Open Command Prompt as Administrator.
- Run the following command: netsh winsock reset
- Restart your computer and check Device Manager again.
Update or Reinstall Drivers
- Visit HP support page and search for your product's drivers using its model number.
- Download and install the latest Wi-Fi driver compatible with Windows 7.
- Alternatively, use tools like Driver Easy to automatically update drivers.
Perform Hardware Diagnostics
- Download and install HP Hardware Diagnostics Tool.
- Shut down your computer, restart it, and press F2 repeatedly during boot to access system diagnostics.
- Run a wireless card test. If the test fails, reseat the wireless module or contact HP support for repair options.
Network Reset
- Search for "Network Reset" in Windows settings and click "Reset Now."
- Restart your computer after performing this step
I hope this helps.
