HP Pavillion Touchscreen 520- 1020a PC ( QU225AA#ABG)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My ethernet connection does not work, but my wifi does. When I turn off wifi while leaving the computer connected to the router via an ethernet cable the there is no connection. The cable has been tested with another PC from the same router port and works. Device manager does not seem to show any non functioning network adaptors either. All networks adaptors have been checked for latest drivers. There is no obvious ethernet connector showing as a a network adaptor devices so I'm starting to think that if still installed it is not recognised.

Any suggestions?

Your machine has  Realtek Ethernet Controller for wired network and its support page does not have drivers for Windows 10

Thanks Banhien for your help. Its taken me some time to work through the leads you gave me but I've ended up going around in circles trying to find a driver for the Realtek Ethernet Controller.

The other complication is that when I go to Device manager/network adaptors I cannot see the Realtek Ethernet Controller listed there. Without it being listed I don't know how to look for win10 drivers for it or install them if I can find them.

Do you have any further leads. Thanks ... Frank
