Hi @slprasher,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
I understand your new HP PC isn’t detecting your HiLink/Huawei network. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check if Wi-Fi Is Enabled
- On your HP PC, press Fn + F12 (or the key with the Wi-Fi symbol) to toggle wireless on/off.
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi and ensure Wi-Fi is turned on.
2. Restart Your Huawei HiLink Router
- Power off the router, wait 30 seconds, and power it back on.
- Wait until all lights stabilize, then check if the network appears.
3. Forget and Reconnect to the Network
- If the network was previously saved:
- Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi > Manage known networks.
- Remove the Huawei network if listed.
- Try reconnecting manually.
4. Check for Hidden Network
- Some Huawei routers hide the SSID by default.
- On your PC, click “Hidden Network” if it appears, and manually enter:
- Network name (SSID)
- Security type (usually WPA2)
- Password
5. Update Network Drivers
- Open Device Manager > Network adapters.
- Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter and choose Update driver.
- Or visit HP’s support site to download the latest Wi-Fi driver for your model.
6. Try Connecting Another Device
- Use your phone or another laptop to see if the Huawei network is visible.
- If not, the issue is likely with the router.
- If yes, the issue is with your HP PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
