Chat sessions and HP Support remoting into my computer succeeded only in letting me learn how to reconnect; it did nothing to determine why the disconnects happened or how to prevent them from happening again. I have written a detailed description of the problem. How can I get an email address for HP Support so that I can have someone with HP understand my problem and help me get it resolved?
Chatting with a random support technician is ineffective, especially as the internet connection is likely to be lost during the chat session.
My WiFi connection works fine with two older HP computers as well as my iPhone and iPad.
Someone help please!

Your reply was helpful. I was not willing to mess with the BIOS update on my own, but it got me in the right direction. I called HP Support today. My call was answered almost immediately. The tech was very patient with me and very helpful. I believe my problem has been solved. The loss of internet connectivity has not occurred since he worked with me. He will call back Thursday to verify that all is well.
With a voice connection at first and then a one-way video connection on my cell, he talked me through updating the BIOS and installing a driver for the adapter. Most importantly, his information and recommendations will keep me from experiencing new problems:
- HP is aware of incompatibility problems between the network adapter and Windows 11.
- The Windows Update process does not include BIOS updates.
- The Windows Update tells me that version22H2 is available to download and install. The tech told me not to install it until HP has engineered new adapter drivers compatible with 22H2. I also need to check the HP Support site (Detect the drivers for your model) since BIOS updates are important as well as Windows version updates.
I would not say that your solution was exactly my answer, but it probably would have been if I was knowledgeable enough to actually implement it. Your warning about the risk of a bios update led me to be cautious.
Thank you.

sorry, i didn't understand everything you said.
and if your problem is solved or not..
all i can tell you is that my pc does not have any hp updates, originally running windows 10..
apart from the little tricks found in order to use other drivers, for certain peripherals, but it is quite limited, for me!
and it works perfectly on windows 11 22h2..
and I haven't done any bios updates since 2018..
Sometimes yes, it can help, but I have seen so many users, in embarrassment since I am in the hp community, computer ruined, and impossible to recover the bios
that I prefer to warn, and insist on the risks incurred
Let me know, if you finally installed the hp utility, and if it's solved
or are you waiting for something new from hp support?
thank you
