My HP Officejet Pro 8600 (wireless) will print but if I don't turn it off immediately after the job is complete it locks up and stays in the on mode. Then it won't do anything. The only way I can turn it off is by unplugging the power cord from it. When I do that it will reset and seem fine again. What could be the issue??? TIA

Welcome to the HP support community.
Perform a power reset
- Turn on the printer, if it is not already on.
- Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Wait at least 30 seconds.
- Plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet and printer without any surge protector.
- Turn on the printer.
Download and install printer full feature driver

I hope that helps.
