HP Pavilion All-in-One - 23-q110
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My WiFi is not working,  and Device Manager indicates that the network adapter in question is a Intel Dual Band Wireless AC3160, but that no driver in presently installed. A search for that driver reveals that Intel no longer supports that network interface or the driver for it. To further complicate matters, the HP online hardware/driver virtual assistant thinks that my PC has a Realtek (not Intel) WiFi interface. Thus, the driver is no longer available from Intel, and HP thinks that my PC does not even have an Intel WiFi interface installed.

I am stuck  -- can anyone assist?

I had saved the Intel 7260 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth drivers to my Skydrive folder a while ago before Intel removed them from their website.

See if the 7260 driver file also includes the drivers for the 3160 as well.

Download, unzip and run the Wi-Fi driver in the Intel 7260AC WiFi & Bluetooth Drivers.zip file.

While Intel does say the device is at end-of-life, this site claims to have several Windows 10 64bit versions for the Intel Dual Band Wireless AC3160

Thanks for your assistance, but unfortunately, the 3160 driver is not included in that package.

My search will continue!

You're very welcome.

I believe that I found the driver you need...last file at the bottom of the webpage.

You're very welcome.

If you are not familiar with opening cabinet files from the Micrsoft Update Catalog, here's what I do:

Install the free 7-Zip file utility.

The first file at the top of the page is for 64 bit.

Download (7-zip.org)

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the driver file you saved.

Select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu.

Have 7-Zip Extract to:  and let it extract the file into its long folder name.

Ignore any error messages generated.

Open the unzipped driver folder and you can run the blue setup application inside the file to install the driver.
