Network adapter disabled??

HP Recommended
Pavilion p7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I believe my wireless network adapter has been disabled.  it does not show up in Device manager.  I need to get it up and running asap.  Thanks in advance for any help!

I see from your post you are having issues with the wireless network not working on your HP Pavilion notebook. Don't worry we'll work together to help you find a solution.

 

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Could you provide me with the exact model of the PC? Use this link to find it:  https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c03754824  (Ensure you do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc...).

Have you recently made any software or hardware changes on the PC before the issue started?

Did it happen after upgrading to Windows 10 or after a recent software update?

Have you tried to run the troubleshooter on the computer to check if that helps?

Have you tried to run a wireless test from F2?

 

In the meantime, let's try these steps here: 

 

Perform a Hard reset on the notebook: 

 

Right click the network icon in System Tray at bottom right end of task bar to Troubleshoot Problems. 

 

Try turning off all and then restarting your modem, router and PC in that order with 1 minute in between each. 

 

Next thing, I would suggest here is to update the Bios, Chipset and Wireless card drivers on your PC from our HP support website, using this link(If available).

 

Also, download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.

Alternatively, I would suggest here is to run the test of tht Wireless from F2(Please capture the failure ID for further assistance).
