@Bonniet73, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Network Connection Issues!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If you're experiencing difficulties connecting to the Internet with your HP printer, here are some potential solutions:

Online Troubleshooting Wizard:

  • Troubleshoot Wireless Problems: Whether your printer has never been connected or was connected and is no longer working.
  • Firewall or Antivirus Issues: Check if a firewall or antivirus program is blocking the connection.
  • Network Settings: Use this wizard to find your wireless network name (SSID) and password in case you don't remember them.
  • Convert USB to Wireless: If you're using a USB connection, consider converting it to wireless for better flexibility.

Wi-Fi Direct Connection:

  • Ensure the Wi-Fi Direct icon is on. You can connect to your printer's Wi-Fi Direct name from your device and enter the password when prompted. Ensure a compatible printing app is installed on your mobile device.

General Tips for Internet Connection:

  • Make sure the printer is connected to the Internet using a wireless connection.
  • Ensure all network devices such as routers, switches, and hubs are turned on and functioning correctly.
  • Ensure that Web Services are enabled on your printer.

Proxy Settings:

  • If your network uses proxy settings, make sure they are correctly entered. This may involve checking settings in your browser or consulting the IT administrator.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
