HP Recommended
Product: HP-500-c60
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)
I want to know if I can replace the network interface card in the computer? It's only picking up to 100 mbps and I have a 300 mbps plan and I want to do a speed check on the modem but it won't read that high. This is the one I have in now. It's a Athreos model ar5b125. That's what it's showing on the card when I bring up the configurations but when i checked under the system manager it says Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11b|g|n WIFI Adapter
- interface type: PCI express half-length mini card
- Data transfer speeds: up to 80 Mbps
- Transmission standards: 802.11 b/g/n
- Antennas: 1 internal antenna
- Single band: 2.4 GHz (b/g/n)
- Security:
- Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) supports modes that have 64-bit, and 128-bit keys
- Support for WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK in Windows
