I want to know if I can replace the network interface card in the computer? It's only picking up to 100 mbps and I have a 300 mbps plan and I want to do a speed check on the modem but it won't read that high. This is the one I have in now. It's a Athreos model ar5b125. That's what it's showing on the card when I bring up the configurations but when i checked under the system manager it says Qualcomm Atheros AR9485 802.11b|g|n WIFI Adapter
interface type: PCI express half-length mini card
Data transfer speeds: up to 80 Mbps
Transmission standards: 802.11 b/g/n
Antennas: 1 internal antenna
Single band: 2.4 GHz (b/g/n)
Wired Equivalent Privacy (WEP) supports modes that have 64-bit, and 128-bit keys
