I am desperate to connect my desktop and laptop together wirelessly so I can use my Quickbooks in unison without having to pay Quickbooks yet again for a newer program that has support included. I seem to have no luck with the online tutorials as they aren't working. I did pay for the multi user in Quickbooks so have the license to be able but since support is outdated I cant seem to get connected on a new laptop now

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
To get the answer to this question, it's not possible to connect desktop to a laptop. The video out ports on your computer such as HDMI port or DisplayPort will only work for outputting the display for another device. As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.
I would request you to reach out to our HP Smart Friend Support and our Support Engineers should be able to sort this out. HP Smart Friend Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

I assume the word WIRELESSLY is what should have been addressed. I have read in MANY spots that creating a home network should allow you to wirelessly connect to any computer in your network...LAPTOPS are included. Then I should be able to add my secondary user in quickbooks. But I can't seem to get this accomplished . There used to be something called HOME GROUP but for some reason HP removed from service??? WHY and what will replace that?

Thank you for posting back.
I understand the wireless settings you're referring to however we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.
