I recently purchased a router (Netgear R7000) and set up a new network. Was able to update all devices except my desktop. Netgear tech support said I needed to have HP reinstall software to show wireless networks because it is not showing up on my desktop wifi page.

The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c01859884
It ONLY has
- LAN: Gigabit 10-Base-GT
- 802.11 Wireless a/b/g/n PCI-Express x1 card
You have to ask the Netgear tech support people how to allow your router to broadcast dual bands which are 2.4GHz and 5.0GHz. Your HP machine will see the 2.4GHz and allow you to connect.
Regards.

Thanks for you response. When I go to show available networks, Netgear is listed there and shows it is secured. However, when I click on connect, it says it cannot connect to this network. When I was working with the technician previously, I think we may have deleted the software? Maybe that is why I'm supposed to have HP reinstall software? Appreciate you help.
