I want to use my function keys without having to use the fn key. There are literally tens of thousands of HP postings telling you to go into BIOS and my BIOS looks nothing like what I see. Plus the fn and left shift key.... equally useless. The HP articles also show a little blue light on the fn key. My keyboard does not have such light like the caps lock key does.
I spent 40 minutes with HP support... absolutely useless. They told me to go to the shoppers for technical support.
Thanks HP Your product sucks. Serious buyers remorse as I cannot use any function key do do software development.
Great... can't even upload the pictures of my BIOS on this board.

hi
I was the one who already answered you here
the subjects you mention, are a mistake, which many users make, I have already explained it several times, this is not possible at the moment, only with certain laptops, it has never been possible with the desktops, we wonder why, but still no change
Currently, therefore the only possible solutions, are those that I have already proposed, software, or hardware, or the modification of the keyboard itself.
I know it's very frustrating, unfortunately nothing better to offer at this time
It is necessary that the users, to let know it to Hp, I do not really know how, but here, it will not change much, Hp does not intervene directly here
What surprises a little is what you say about the response of HP support, I do not really understand the meaning
"They told me to go to the shoppers for technical support."
I suspect that my answer will not change anything, you did not answer the first time.
But unfortunately here, we cannot offer you anything more
try

@iooab10 -- is this your keyboard/mouse/receiver package: HP Wireless Keyboard and Mouse 300 (3ML04AA#ABL)
If it does not work, take all 3 pieces (USB receiver, keyboard, mouse) to any local "owner/operator" computer store, and see if they can make everything work on their computer, and to see if they can find any "FN-LOCK" key to "lock" the F-keys into the alternate mode.

@iooab10 -- at 6:16 into that YouTube video, I can clearly see that the keyboard does have a FN key near the bottom-left of the keyboard. Unfortunately, as the camera pans to the right, the top-right part of the keyboard is out-of-focus. So, no way to see if there is a "FN LOCK" key in that corner.
