I recently rebooted my HP Latop (17t-cn000 with Win11) and now I have no Internet access. There not even any evidence that I have an Ethernet connection, which I was using along with a wired LAN to access the Internet before I rebooted.

> When I try to troubleshoot the issue on my laptop, all the instructions tell me to turn on the Wi-Fi, but I do not have, and do not plan to use, a Wi-Fi connection.

> When I reviewed related discussions here in the forum, they all tell me to update Windows and download a Bios update ~ but I can't do any of this without an Internet connection.

Please advise.

Never mind. Just now discovered (and confirmed) the problem is with the adapter I was using to connect my Ethernet cable to my laptop. This ticket may be closed or deleted.

Thanks.

I assume the problem is the Realtek Wi-Fi chip

Run this app from the windows command prompt to find the name of the Wi-Fi adapter

"netsh wlan show driver" and post what it shows like I did here.

Post back here the name of the chip

Thanks, Beemer. As I indicated in my original post, I'm NOT using Wi-Fi.
