I've tried using the On-screen Keyboard, as previous forums have suggested and clicked the "turn on numeric keypad", but it didn't solve the issue with my physical keyboard. All aspects of the physical keyboard work except the keypad. This should be an easy fix but can't find a solution. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @REH67
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If the Num Lock key isn’t functioning on your wireless keyboard, here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
Check Keyboard Layout:
- Ensure your keyboard layout is set correctly. Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language and make sure the correct language and layout are selected.
Check for Function Key:
- Some keyboards use the Fn key to enable Num Lock. Look for an Fn key along with a key that might have a Num Lock function (often one of the function keys). Try holding down Fn and pressing that key.
Reconnect the Keyboard:
- Disconnect and then reconnect your wireless keyboard. You might also try removing the USB dongle, waiting a moment, and plugging it back in.
Replace Batteries:
- If your keyboard uses batteries, try replacing them. Low battery power can sometimes cause issues with certain keys.
Update Drivers:
- Make sure your keyboard drivers are up to date. Go to Device Manager, find your keyboard under "Keyboards," right-click, and select "Update driver."
Check for Hardware Issues:
- If possible, test the keyboard on another computer to see if the keypad works there. This can help determine if the issue is with the keyboard itself.
Check Ease of Access Settings:
- Go to Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard and ensure that "Use the On-Screen Keyboard" is off, and check for other settings that might affect keyboard functionality.
Restore Default Settings:
- Sometimes resetting the keyboard settings can help. Check if your keyboard software has an option to restore defaults.
Test with External Software:
- If you have keyboard software installed (like Logitech or Microsoft software), check for any settings that might affect the numeric keypad functionality.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
