Hi @Aven2

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I acknowledge the issue you are facing with your PC not connecting to the internet and being stuck in a PIN setup loop. Let’s go through recommended steps to address this:

Step 1: Perform a Hard Reset

  • Power off the PC completely.
  • Disconnect the power cable and remove the battery if removable.
  • Hold the power button for 15 seconds.
  • Reconnect power and turn the PC back on.

Step 2: Access Windows Recovery Environment

  • Restart the PC and press F11 repeatedly as soon as it powers on.
  • This should open the HP Recovery Manager or Windows Recovery Environment.
  • If successful, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Repair to repair boot issues.

Step 3: Network Reset

  • If you can reach the desktop or recovery options, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network Reset.
  • This reinstalls network adapters and resets configurations.

Step 4: Safe Mode with Networking

  • From Recovery Environment, select Troubleshoot > Advanced Options > Startup Settings > Restart.
  • Press 5 or F5 to start in Safe Mode with Networking.
  • Check if internet works in Safe Mode. If yes, update drivers via HP Support.

Step 5: HP Cloud Recovery Tool

  • If reset options are blocked, use the HP Cloud Recovery Tool on another PC to create recovery media.
  • Insert the recovery USB into your PC and boot from it to reinstall the operating system.
  • Official instructions: HP Cloud Recovery Tool

If the PIN loop continues, using the HP Cloud Recovery Tool is the most reliable way to reinstall Windows and reset the device properly.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
