I recently purchased a HP all-in-one computer to replace my present old desktop Windows computer.  I set up a private network to connect all my devices including both

the old and new computers. At first, I had no trouble in moving files from the old desktop to the new all in one.  After opening the included VPN, I was not able to access anything in the old computer from the new one. (It would open a window asking for user identification, which it had not previously). I have removed the VPN but the problem remains.

 

Can anyone help?  It's really hard to work with one computer behind the other on my already crowded desk.
