This is the latest driver HP currently has for the RTL Wi-Fi adapters:

Realtek RTL8xxx Series Wi-Fi Driver

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp168001-168500/sp168341.exe

RTL8723BE/RTL8188EE, version 2024.0.4.208 (EOL, with Windows 10 19H1 WHQL)
RTL8822CE/RTL8822BE/RTL8821CE, version 2024.10.231.0
RTL8851BE/RTL8852BE-VT, version 6101.19.134.1
RTL8852AE, version 6001.10.356.3
RTL8852BE/RTL8852BE-VS, version 6001.15.161.600
RTL8852CE, version 6001.16.172.0
RTL8922AE-VS, version 6102.24.138.0

After you install the driver, you can prevent any pending Realtek Wi-Fi drivers from reinstalling from Windows update by running the Microsoft Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

Download, unzip and run the utility.

It will find any Windows updates pending to be installed.

Check the box to hide any Realtek Wi-Fi driver updates you don't want to be installed.

The utility will run again and report that the problem is 'Fixed.'

Close out of the utility and your notebook should no longer get the update that is rolling back the driver.

i downloaded the driver but i am still having the same problem, speed starts at 200 mbps but goes to 30 mbps after 30 seconds and stays like that

HP Recommended

I wouldn't be able to help you with that problem.

All I could provide is the latest driver you requested.

HP Recommended

ok, thank you for trying

You're very welcome.

What model PC do you have?

You may want to consider replacing that problematic Realtek Wi-Fi adapter with a different brand/model if it is possible.

i have an i7 14th gen victus laptop, also, i just check and the version of my driver is 6001.15.160,601 instead of 6001.15.160.600 mentioned in your message, the exact name of the driver is Realtek RTL8852BE WiFi 6 802.11ax PCle adapter

HP Recommended

That's very interesting.

The one I gave you is the latest one from HP.

Even Microsoft indicates that 6001.15.160.600 is the latest version:

Microsoft Update Catalog

Where did you find the 6001.15.160,601 driver from?

If you aren't able to get the RTL8852BE card to work properly, you should be able to replace/upgrade it with this model:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # / SPS # M27269-005

Update:

I just found this driver for the RTL8852BE Wi-Fi adapter on the Microsoft Update Catalog website:

6001.15.162.1   January 8, 2026.

1st one on the list.

Microsoft Update Catalog

Since it is a cabinet file you have to use the free 7-Zip file utility to extract the cabinet file into a driver folder and manually install the driver because there is no executable file.

First file on the list.

7-Zip

After you install 7-Zip, right click on the driver file you saved.

Select 7-Zip from the list of items on the menu after you select 'More options.'

Have 7-Zip Extract to: and let it extract the file into its folder name.

After the driver folder has been created, go to the device manager.

Click to expand the Network adapters device manager category.

Click on the RTL8852BE Wi-Fi adapter.

Click on the driver tab.

Click on Update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for drivers' option, and browse to the driver folder that 7-Zip created.

Make sure that the Include subfolders box is checked and the driver should install.

Hopefully the updated driver will help.
