You suggest "restore the OS back to the factory default"  I am not familiar with that process and worry that I will lose software and settings on my computer.  Is this a transparent action that will return my computer to its current settings or will I have to re-install software?

I just confirmed that the RTL8822CE 802.11ac PCIe Adapter which shipped on the motherboard of my HP Envy TPE01-3000i (purchased only 2 days ago has that same issue.

HP Support, can you find out if this is by design, an oversight, or what?  And when the replacement cards will ship?

Try this:

1.  Device Manager.

2.  Network Adapters >Select Aapter>Right-Click.

3.  Change Properties > Power Management - uncheck "Allow this computer to turn off this device to save power".

4.  For each device, right-click and Update Driver.  Drivers provided by the manufacturer almost always provide better connecitvity.

Do this for all ethernet adapters (if you have more than 1), and also do this for all Bluetooth devices.  Look in Universal Serial Bus Controllers for Generic Supespeed USB Hubs, and for Generic USB Hubs and for USB Host Controllers.

No promises but it stopped my BT connections from dropping every few unused minutes.
