I want to use my HP 3630 to scan documents using my new Chromebook. The printer is properly connected to the same network as my Chromebook. In fact, I can print files from Word to the printer. What I am struggling with is how to use the scan function. I tried downloading the HP Smart app onto the chromebook, but it cannot find the printer. Suggestions? Is there a different app I should be using?

@JeffatPacifico Welcome to HP Community!
I understand that you are looking to know the procedure to perform a scan from your all in one printer to your Chromebook.
To be able to scan from your printer on your Chromebook, you need to have the printer and the Chromebook on the same network.
Once both the devices are on the same network, you can use the IP address of the printer to bring up the EWS page of the printer.
From the EWS page, you can scan from your printer. Click here for the user manual of your printer.
Refer to page number 52 for step by step instructions to access the EWS page on your Chromebook.
