I bought a old desk top and plugged it in to the Hughes net router and it shows on line but when I go to load a webpage it comes back failure to connect to broadband connection. And when I diagnosis problem it REPLYS back window can no find a problem with the connection. For some reason explorer won't catch my connection that's already open the computer is on line verified by Ips helppppp.

Try the LAN driver sp43226.exe listed on this page
https://drivers.eu/PC/HP/Pavilion%20p6110y
This site had a clean download with no advertising or hoiden stuff in that file
If there is a win7 sticker on the case you can upgrade to windows 10
some vista system came with a free upgrade to 7. You can tell by looking in the bios for a specific license code (2.1) that allows win7 and eventually the free windows 10 upgrade
I actually recommend desktop ubuntu for your older system.
