Subject: Urgent Assistance Required for Persistent Wi-Fi Connectivity Issue – HP Laptop 15s (Product ID: 8H968PA#ACJ)

Dear HP Support Team,

I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding a recent purchase of an HP laptop model HP Laptop 15s with AMD Ryzen 5 Hexa Core 5500U (Product ID: 8H968PA#ACJ), which I bought online.

Since the first use, I’ve been facing a persistent and highly disruptive issue: the laptop connects to Wi-Fi initially but disconnects within a few minutes. To reconnect, I am repeatedly forced to toggle flight mode or restart the laptop. Even after reconnecting, the same issue continues in a cycle.

I have already attempted several troubleshooting steps including:

Network and internet troubleshooting

Updating drivers

Changing power management settings

Resetting the network settings


Unfortunately, none of these have resolved the issue.

This issue is seriously affecting my productivity and daily usage. I bought this device expecting reliable performance, and it is unacceptable for a new laptop to behave this way. I request your immediate support and guidance to resolve this problem. If this is a hardware defect, please advise on the next steps for repair or replacement.

I expect a prompt response and a working solution at the earliest.

Thank you for your detailed message regarding the Wi-Fi connectivity issue on your HP Laptop 15s (Product ID: 8H968PA#ACJ). Based on your description, here’s a structured plan to resolve the issue:

1. Update Wireless Driver from HP (Not Windows Update)

⚠️ Avoid using Windows Device Manager to update the driver — it may install a generic or incompatible version.


2. Disable Power Saving for Wi-Fi Adapter

  1. Press Windows + X → Device Manager
  2. Expand Network adapters
  3. Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → Properties
  4. Go to the Power Management tab
  5. Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”
  6. Click OK


3. Change Wi-Fi Adapter Settings

  1. In Device Manager, right-click your Wi-Fi adapter → Properties
  2. Go to the Advanced tab
  3. Set the following (if available):
    • Roaming Aggressiveness → Lowest
    • Preferred Band → 5GHz
    • Wireless Mode → Match your router (e.g., 802.11ac)


4. Run HP Network Check

  • Open HP Support Assistant
  • Go to Troubleshooting and Fixes > HP Network Check
  • Let it scan and apply recommended fixes
