Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

I have a HP Envy x360 Convertible and have has troubling actually using my AirPods. The computer finds the Bluetooth device and get paired but when playing the audio it plays through the laptop speakers and once I check the AirPods aren’t paired anymore. As soon as a I leave the Bluetooth tab, the AirPods seem to disconnect. I’ve been trying to slice this issue for months and nothing has worked.
