To anyone that can help,
I'm looking for a simple way to replace the wireless LAN 802.11 from an old HP Slimline 400-314 PC. I just need it to be bluetooth compatible and be able to live stream t.v. It's just something I need to upgrade to give to somebody but would like to make it a little better with maybe 20-30 bucks. What is the simplest way to find the right part so I can install it myself easily? I would appreciate a link to the part or part#. Thank you for your time.

Hi, Craig:
According to the parts list for your PC, it only has one Wi-Fi antenna wire connected to the Atheros Wi-Fi adapter it came with.
600050-001 | Antenna - PIFA 802.11a/b/g/n SingleNep2 |
This eBay listing confirms that part number is only a single antenna wire.
HP Pavilion P7-1007c PC OEM Wireless WIFI Antenna Cable P/N 600050-001 735940171052 | eBay
If you want to open up the PC and confirm that there is only one Wi-Fi antenna connected to the card, you would be limited to doing an internal card replacement to this single band with Bluetooth model only:
Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter HP part # 753077-001
It will have a maximum Wi-Fi throughput of 72 MBPS, and rarely goes that high.
You can find this model Wi-Fi card on eBay. Search by the HP part number, not the model of the Wi-Fi card.
If you find that the parts list is incorrect, and there are two antenna wires connected to the Atheros card, you can upgrade to this dual band AC card with Bluetooth.
Broadcom BCM4352 802.11ac 2x2 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.0 combo HP part # 724935-001.
I'm thinking your best bet would be to disable the Atheros card in the device manager, or physically remove it altogether, insulate the antenna connector from touching anything metal and buy one of these handy dual band USB wifi adapters with Bluetooth.
Plug it into a free USB port and you are all set.
It will have a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi band as long as you have an AC or AX router.
For an internal card replacement, below is the link to the service manual
There is no procedure to remove/replace the Wi-Fi card.
This video shows how to remove the type of Wi-Fi card that is in your PC.
