A few weeks ago I had an update for Windows 10.  After the update, I can only use an ethernet cable to connect to the internet.  My computer doesn't even notice any wireless networks.

I checked the drivers for my HP ENVY h8-1534 and they only have wireless drivers for Windows 8 and 8.1

I've had Windows 10 for a while, but it was only after this update that my wireless capabilities have been stopped.

It seems that you need correct drivers to make the wi-fi working again...so i suggest you type in your computer model...so i can advice you what drivers to look for...and where...

You can try those windows 8/8.1 drivers too as they might work on Win 10 too...

Do you have the Ralink or the Realtek chip? Use AIDA64 to identify the adapter maker...

if its the Realtek download a driver from here:

https://www.realtek.com/en/component/zoo/advanced-search/512?Itemid=276

if its the Ralink here:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp71501-72000/sp71571.exe

If none of the above work...then I suggest you buy an external USB wifi adapter that has support for W10 (which is cheap enough these days)

Good luck
