Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

hello,

i am trying to upgrade some things on my computer. First I wanted to make the computer compatible with 5G WiFi. Currently it only works for 2.4g and the connection is poor. Also, I wanted to upgrade the graphics on my computer to be able to play games like Civ, heroes of the storm, etc. what do I need to do to upgrade the graphics?

Hi:

Below is the link to the product specs page for your PC.

https://support.hp.com/hk-en/document/c05514912

Looking at the motherboard, there are no options to add a MXM graphics card (which would be the only kind you can add on that kind of PC).

There is one dual band model wifi card you can upgrade to, and that is this one...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

This card works with only one antenna.

The only place I have been able to find this model is on eBay.

Here is the link to the service guide for your PC which should help you find where the wifi adapter is located.

There is no written procedure to remove and replace the wifi adapter, but it should be easy enough to do.

Carefully unsnap (remove) the antenna cable from the wifi card, unscrew the hold down screw, release the card from the socket, and install the new card in reverse order.

Here are the latest wifi and Bluetooth drivers for the Realtek AC wifi card...
