Hi, I bought am HP 290 G4 a few years ago. It has a realtek RTL 8821ce wifi card. I recently upgraded my wifi to a Fiber connection with a speed of 300 mpbs. I can get that speed by plugging into the router. Problem is it's across the room from my desk so I need to use wifi. My laptop can also get 300 mpbs using wifi. But on the HP 290 the highest wifi speed is less than 50 mbps. I think the problem is the realtek card is limiting the speed. Questions: 1) Is there any way to change settings in Linux to increase the speed using the realtek card? I use MX linux 21  (Debian 11)? 2) If not, can I upgrade to a  faster wifi card (or possibly a usb adapter) that is known to be compatible with Debian linux? Thanks for your help.
