Hi there,
I have a rather old Desktop PC (link below). I need to add Wi-Fi functionality to this Desktop. I know this desktop has three PCIe x1 2.0 expansion slots. Can anyone recommend a Wi-Fi card that is compatible with this computer using one of these PCIe slots? I bought one recently from Amazon and it didn't work so I had to return it, so I'd like to ask the community for suggestions in case I am missing something. Thanks a lot!

@lostjeff , welcome to the Community.
The only conclusion that I come to is your computer is old technology. This could be causing your problem. I suggest that you try a USB 2.0 wifi adapter to see if it works. I have used several USB adapters in older computers with great success.
If you want to continue to try using a PCIe x1 adapter, I suggest that you choose a manufacturer and contact their Tech Support for help. They are the experts on their products. They should be able to tell which ones of theirs will work in your system. This will save you time, frustration and money.
