Compaq Elite 8300 USDT
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello! Sorry for my English 🙂 I own a HP Compaq Elite 8300 USDT PC and I wanted to add Bluetooth support. I purchased a Wifi Card with Bluetooth: Intel (R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160. But only Wifi is detected in the device manager, there is no Bluetooth at all (there are no unknown devices either). I read on the Internet that Bluetooth requires usb interface in mini pci-e. Accordingly, I have four questions:
1. Is there support for usb interface in mini pci-e?
2. Is it possible to purchase a Wifi + Bluetooth card that supports my PC?
3. Is there a setting in the BIOS for activating / deactivating Bluetooth?
4. Is there any white list in the BIOS for my PC?
Please do not offer me a USB Bluetooth adapter, I want a Wifi + Bluetooth card that supports my HP!

Hi

So...

http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=QV997AV

tells us it was built with...

Wireless Interface 652165-001 PCIe TP Half MiniCard (HMC) 2x2 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN PCIe adapter module

https://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/hp-compaq-elite-8300-ultra-slim-pc/5232866/model/5232867/manual... and the manual gives that as...

(http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03347207)   not there.

https://harddiskdirect.co.uk/652165-001-hp-wireless-lan-card.html    shows a picture.

AND this is the Intel page...

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/products/75442/network-and-io/wireless-networking/in...

There seem to be physical differences, in the number of connections which may be the problem.

Hi, thank you very much for your research! I tried to follow your links in the usual way and in incognito mode, but it was unsuccessful 😞 Try to follow your links in incognito mode and correct your message, because it will be very useful for me and other owners of this computer. From your message , I realized that my computer has a slightly different connector pinout, which is why Bluetooth does not work, as I suspected. I hope you will soon complete your message so that I can find a suitable Wifi + Bluetooth Card for me. Thanks again for the quick answer!

Hi

The links that work, and those that don't were found using DuckDuckGo, so you should be able to search similarly.
