I need Wireless network in my desktop EliteDesk 800 G3 and after I got it I found the PC did´t have the WLAN module.
HP Tech Support for the time being don´t have any answer.
My PC not only lacks the card module, but does not have antenna cables as well.

Hi:
The easiest thing to do to add wireless networking to your PC, would be to install an external USB wireless Network Adapter.
Otherwise, this is the internal PCIe x1 unit that HP sells that would work in most business desktop PC's.

I installed "Intel 7265 802.11ac PCIe x1 NIC(N4G85AA)" as you sugested and worked. I have WLAN in my desktop now. Thank you very much, but I have a final question: in the box came a short cable with 2 connectors identical in both ends not expected and don´t know what is for. Could you tell me the purpose.
In the SW CD doesn´t mention it!
Thanks again!

Hi:
Glad the wifi adapter works fine for you.
Unfortunately, I don't know what that extra cable is.
Other folks have asked me the same question.
Do you see anywhere on the adapter where the one end of the cable would plug into?
If so, maybe that connection is labeled on the circuit board.
Obviously, you don't need it.

for those that have one of these hp elitedesk 800 G3 tower PC's and want to add either a M.2 ssd and/or a M.2 WLAN card such as the intel 9260 which I did.....(and it works)
hardest thing to find is the standoff screw to the chasis, which holds up either card....hp wont help you with the specs so here they are
the standoff screw needs to be 6-32 thread going into the chasis.....the standoff height needs to be 8mm. if you cant find one high enough use washers....the female thread at the top can be M2 size most likely this dosent really matter as long as you have a screw that goes into the thread....
for the antenna's you need
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/173820917444?ul_noapp=true
which is, the cable has RP-SMA female connector on the wlan card side, and the
Other side is MHF4 (the antenna). boy are those suckers small.....just gotta try a few times and press them on....
i had to order these with extra cable length (50cm) and then i drilled 2 holes into a pci metal plate to attach the antenna's to......
the custom hp setup attaches inside to the case but this was difficult and i probably ended up with a better antenna
cheers
