Hi! I have a Laptop PC 15-dy2000 (2D115AV) and it was working fine just a few weeks ago, but suddenly, it decided it didnt want to connect to the internet anymore. Ive done a system restore, which didnt help. I tried to connect it using Ethernet, but this laptop doesnt have the port for that. I did a network reset, that didnt work. We turned it off for a few days and logged back in to it working, but it then stopped in less than 5 minutes. I don't know what else I could do.

Hi:
According to the parts list for your notebook it could come with one of 4 different model Wi-Fi adapters.
If it comes with one of the Realtek cards listed in the parts list, the only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Realtek Wi-Fi driver to the latest version HP currently has. The both use the same version of the driver.
2024.10.230.2
If it has one of the Intel Wi-Fi adapters the only suggestion I can offer would be to update the Intel Wi-Fi driver to the latest version available on the Intel website. The driver would work for either card.

I was able to connect my cellphone to the laptop and use my hotspot. I couldn't tether it by the bluetooth, I had to use a USB cord. My computer is updated to the 24H2 OS and it seems there's a lot of things that no longer are operable because of that. Once my computer finished updating, I got a notice about things that are no longer supported on the computer because of the update: Realtek RTL8xxx Wireless LAN drivers and HP Notebook System BIOS Update (Intel Processors ) When I went into the device manager, there is no wireless driver listed.. Lots VPN stuff and Realtek's bluetooth is there, but its not doing what it needs to be doing, because there are no devices popping up when I try to discover them.
EDIT TO ADD: I individually downloaded those updates that I got a error notice for, to no avail. It updated successfully, but the internet still isn't working. I opened the device manager again and showed hidden objects and the drivers are all there, but not disabled. I get a code 45 for them. I've uninstalled and restarted the computer and it still came back hidden.
