HP Laptop PC 14-d2000 (2D128AV)

Hello everyone, 

 

I have an issue in my laptop, that makes me frustated, i.e., my WiFi is connected first, later if there is need to charge laptop, I plugged in to charge, but after 10 seconds, my WiFi is disconnected. If I need to work again, I need to plug out my laptop charger, and need to reconnect to my WiFi again. Kindly please anyone suggest solutions ASAP...

I understand your laptop might have a power management setting that's causing the WiFi to disconnect when the charger is plugged in. Here are a few steps to try and resolve this issue:

 

Check Power Management Settings

Open Device Manager:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Locate Network Adapter:

  • Expand the Network adapters section.
  • Right-click your WiFi adapter and select Properties.

Power Management Tab:

  • Go to the Power Management tab.
  • Uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
  • Click OK.

Change Power Plan Settings

Open Power Options:

  • Press Win + X and select Power Options.

Edit Power Plan:

  • Click on Change plan settings next to your current power plan.
  • Click on Change advanced power settings.

Wireless Adapter Settings:

  • Expand the Wireless Adapter Settings section.
  • Set both On battery and Plugged in to Maximum Performance.

Save Changes:

  • Click Apply and OK.

Update Network Adapter Driver

Open Device Manager:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Update Driver:

  • Expand the Network adapters section.
  • Right-click your WiFi adapter and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software.

BIOS Update HP Laptop PC 14-d2000 (2D128AV) Software and Driver

Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve hardware-related issues.

Visit HP Support:

  • Go to the HP Support website and enter your laptop's model number.
  • Check for any BIOS updates available for your laptop model.

Download and Install:

  • Follow the instructions to download and install the BIOS update.

Disable USB Power Saving

Open Device Manager:

  • Press Win + X and select Device Manager.

Locate USB Root Hubs:

  • Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section.
  • Right-click each USB Root Hub and select Properties.

Power Management Tab:

  • Go to the Power Management tab.
  • Uncheck the box that says "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power."
  • Click OK.

Check for Interference

Ensure that your power cable and charger are not causing interference with your WiFi signal. Sometimes, moving the charger or using a different power outlet can help.
