A while back my WiFi simply stopped working. I can't see it in my Network options and have had to connect direct to the router with an Ethernet cable. My printer is on the wifi network but I have to connect with USB, printer works fine with other laptops at home, as does the wifi.

Device Manager shows

Can you help me get my wifi back?

Hi, Dave:

Your PC probably came with a Ralink Wi-Fi adapter and if you are running W10, that is a common issue with that model card completely disappearing from the device manager on the newer builds of W10.

There is no fix other than to use a USB Wi-Fi adapter to connect wirelessly.

Thanks for that. At least I know that it wasn't something that I had done, just have to put up with the cables now
