Microsoft Windows 11

I just bought an HP all in one 24-cr0014 and cannot find any wifi whatsoever on the PC, it has bluetooth and airplane mode. I am presently connected to it via an ethernet cable but no where does it give me the option to change settings to wifi

Hi @marinsonthemove

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I understand how confusing it feels to set up a brand‑new PC and not see any Wi‑Fi option, especially when you’ve already noticed Bluetooth and airplane mode are present.

You’ve done the right thing by connecting via Ethernet for now, so let’s walk through the steps to check why Wi‑Fi isn’t appearing.

Step 1: Confirm Wireless Hardware

  • Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  • Expand Network adapters.
  • Look for a wireless adapter entry (Intel, Realtek, or Qualcomm).
  • If you only see Ethernet and Bluetooth, the system may not have a Wi‑Fi card installed.

Step 2: Check Windows Settings

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet.
  • On the left panel, you should see Wi‑Fi listed.
  • If it’s missing, that confirms Windows isn’t detecting a wireless adapter.

Step 3: Install Drivers

Step 4: Verify in BIOS

  • Restart the PC and press F10 to enter BIOS Setup.
  • Under Advanced > Built‑in Device Options, confirm that the wireless adapter is enabled.
  • Save changes and restart.

Step 5: External Adapter Option

  • If no wireless adapter is listed in Device Manager or BIOS, the model may only ship with Ethernet and Bluetooth.
  • In that case, you can add Wi‑Fi capability using a USB Wi‑Fi adapter, which plugs into any USB port and provides full wireless connectivity.

You’ve already taken the right step by connecting via Ethernet to get online. With these checks—Device Manager, drivers, and BIOS—you’ll know whether Wi‑Fi is built in or if you’ll need a USB adapter.
