Hello, I have a 705 G5 Small Form Factor.
What I'm attempting to do, is install an HP WN7600R-MV V04 WLAN card, in the smaller of the two PCI slots.
It fits, HOWEVER, I boot the PC, run the install media provided on this post: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Wireless-and-Networking/Driver-Wn7600r-Mv-V04/td-p/7564804
After having done this, the card worked for all of about 2 minutes, before the wifi dropped, and vanished. The item is still visible in device manager, however, when I check the logs of the device, it stated that it "needs further installation." I have spent somewhere near 6 hours, trying to figure out what is wrong. And, yes, I have tried updating the drivers, I have tried uninstalling, then re-installing the device... I can't think of anything else to do...
