My Wi-Fi keeps disconnecting within a minute when my laptop is running on battery(even if it's full), but it remains stable when I plug in the charger. Could you please help me resolve this issue?

Hi @rhythm1000,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Power Settings:

  • Go to Settings > System > Power & sleep.
  • Click on Additional power settings.
  • Choose the active power plan and click on Change plan settings.
  • Select Change advanced power settings.
  • Expand the Wireless Adapter Settings, then Power Saving Mode.
  • Change both On battery and Plugged in settings to Maximum Performance.

Update Network Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest network drivers for your laptop model.
  • Follow the instructions to install them.

Disable Sleep of Network Adapters:

  • Open the Device Manager (you can search for it in the Start menu).
  • Locate Network adapters and expand the section.
  • Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and select Properties.
  • Navigate to the Power Management tab.
  • Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Check for Hardware Issues:

  • Ensure there's no physical damage to the Wi-Fi adapter or laptop.
  • If other devices remain connected steadily, it's less likely a router issue.

I hope this helps.
