Hi @najwafazal,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I am sorry to hear that the Wi-Fi icon is missing from your HP device, making it difficult to connect to Wi-Fi, follow these troubleshooting steps:

Verify Wi-Fi is Enabled:

  • Check if your device has a physical switch or function key combination (often Fn + a numbered key) to enable/disable Wi-Fi. Make sure it is turned on.

Network Adapter Status:

  • On a Windows PC, go to Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center, and click Change adapter settings.
  • Ensure the Wi-Fi network adapter is enabled. If it is greyed out, right-click and select Enable.

Restart the Device:

  • Reboot your computer to refresh connections and settings, which can sometimes resolve icon display issues.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure your operating system is updated by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update. Download and install any available updates.

Update Network Driver:

  • Go to Device Manager (you can search for it from the Start menu).
  • Expand Network adapters, right-click on the wireless adapter, and select Update driver.
  • Choose Search automatically for updated driver software and follow the prompts.

Run Network Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  • Scroll down and click on Network troubleshooter. Follow the on-screen instructions for diagnosing and fixing connectivity issues.

System Icon Settings:

  • Right-click on the taskbar and select Taskbar settings.
  • Scroll down and click on Turn system icons on or off. Ensure the Network icon is turned on.

Restart Network Services:

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Find WLAN AutoConfig, right-click and choose Restart.

Take care and have an amazing day!
