I have seen a slightly different problem on my PC (HP Compaq Elite 8200 SFF).  Like you, I cannot see my WiFi networks, but the difference is that I CAN see those of my next door neighbour. I did not solve the problem but it stopped happening a day or so later.

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > WIfi > Manage Known Networks, highlight and remove the network having problems, restart PC to see if it shows up again.

Updating the BIOS is recommended as standard maintenance of the computer. It can also help resolve the following issues:

      • An available BIOS update resolves a specific issue or improves computer performance.
      • The current BIOS does not support a hardware component or a Windows upgrade.
      • HP Support recommends installing a specific BIOS update.
