Hi,
I signed onto my laptop and got myself set up. I turned for two seconds and looked back and computer had disconnected from our wifi and would not give me an option to connect to wifi. When I hit the trouble shoot button settings > network&internet > troubleshoot. It said my wifi was turned off. I clicked on the "Turn wifi on" button then it would buffer for about 30 seconds. Then it would just stop thinking and act like I never clicked on the turn wifi on button. My airplane mode is greyed out and wont let me turn it on or off (it is sitting in off). I have restarted the computer and our wifi 3 times. I know my wifi isnt the issue because my boyfriends laptop is working fine. I then tried windows + R then typed in devmgmt.msc went to network adapters where my Intel(R) wifi 6 AX201 has an error message. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall several times each time it shows error code 43 then error code 10 device cannot start. I have updated and reinstalled the driver and I am still getting the same error codes. I feel like I have done everything, all I want to do is turn my wifi back on. Also this laptop does not have a wifi switch like others do. I am currently connected via ethernet but that isnt helping either

Hi @medwards1,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you've already tried several troubleshooting steps, and it's unfortunate that the issue persists. Here are a few additional suggestions you can try to resolve the problem.
Update BIOS/UEFI: Visit the HP support website for your laptop model and check if there's a BIOS/UEFI update available. Sometimes, updating the system firmware can address hardware-related issues.
Reset BIOS/UEFI settings: If updating the BIOS doesn't help, you can try resetting the BIOS/UEFI settings to default. This can be done from the BIOS/UEFI menu during the laptop's startup.
Check for Physical Switch or Function Key: Some laptops have physical switches or function keys (like F2 or F12) that can enable or disable Wi-Fi. Ensure that the Wi-Fi function is not disabled using any physical switch or function key.
Check Power Management Settings for the Wi-Fi Adapter:
- Right-click on the Start menu and select "Device Manager."
- Locate your Wi-Fi adapter under "Network adapters."
- Right-click on your Wi-Fi adapter and choose "Properties."
- Go to the "Power Management" tab and uncheck the option that allows the computer to turn off the device to save power.
Run Windows Network Troubleshooter Again: Even though you've done this before, it's worth trying again. Sometimes, Windows updates or changes may require running the troubleshooter more than once.
System Restore: If the issue started recently, you can try using System Restore to revert your system to a previous state when the Wi-Fi was working. To do this, type "create a restore point" in the Windows search bar, open the System Properties, and click on the "System Restore" button.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
