Today my computer wanted me to do a Windows Update, which I did. When I restarted, HP had a BIOS update as well, which I also did. When my computer restarted, my wifi connection was gone, and the adapter does not appear in Device Manager. I connected with LAN for now, but really need the wifi connection to work. All of my internet searches have turned up nothing, did a system restore, still nothing. Help please!

@Jingalls33 Greetings from the HP Community!
I suggest you install the latest driver from the HP website, click here to download and install the same
Also, Have you run a wireless card test on your computer?
- Download and install the HP Hardware diagnostics tool from this link.
- Once installed, shut down your computer.
- Wait for a minute.
- Turn the computer On and keep tapping F2 repeatedly on startup to enter system diagnostics.
- Select the component test and run a wireless test on your computer.
- Refer to this HP Article for assistance.
If the test fails or does not detect the wireless card, it could be faulty.

Thanks for your response. So after trying everything I could think of, the next day when I started it up everything was back to normal. I am going to keep your response, however, in case it happens again.
Thank you!
