Hi all,
I have been having issues with my wireless driver for months now. I am not sure what happened to my laptop but I started it up one day and haven't been able to find a wifi network since. The wifi option does not even show.
The wireless wifi driver is Realtek RTL821CE 802.11ac PCle Adapter - this only shows when I select hidden devices within device manager - device status shows as not connected to computer.
I have tried:
- System reset
- Uninstalling and re-installing the driver
- Tried alternative drivers on my laptop (though after resetting, the wireless adapter reverts to the aforementioned Realtek version)
I've had the laptop less than 12 month and its as good as useless right now - any solutions would be appreciated before I go and buy another brand!
FYI - I am running windows 11 pro, 23H2
Thank you

Hi:
The only suggestion I can offer would be to install the latest W11 version of the driver HP has for the RTL8821CE:
2024.10.229.0

Hi @Sol777
Try using these two drivers
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp148001-148500/sp148266.exe
This package contains the driver installation package for the Realtek RTL8821CE, RTL8822BE, RTL8822CE, RTL8852AE, RTL8852BE, RTL8852CE, and RTL8851BE wireless LAN Controllers in supported computer models using a supported Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system.
https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp146501-147000/sp146686.exe
This package provides HP Connection Optimizer (HP Sure Connect) for supported computer models that are running a supported operating system. HP Sure Connect automatically recovers the driver of a communications device that has stopped functioning.
